Golden Whale Partners with Coolbet to Advance AI-Powered Player Engagement

AI-powered decision intelligence to enhance player engagement, optimise incentives and support sustainable growth across Coolbet’s international operations.
Coolbet Partnership

Golden Whale has partnered with award-winning iGaming operator Coolbet to bring advanced AI and machine learning into everyday player engagement decisions.

Golden Whale, a specialist in machine learning-powered optimisation and decision intelligence for the iGaming industry, has secured a commercial partnership with Coolbet, the award-winning international operator owned by Japanese gaming giant SEGA SAMMY CREATION.

The collaboration will see Golden Whale‘s proprietary technology equip Coolbet with the ability to move beyond traditional, reactive decision-making, and to anticipate player behaviour, refine engagement strategies and optimise frontend behaviour with greater speed and accuracy within the boundaries of regulation.

At the centre of its offering is Foundation™, a powerful machine learning and AI-driven optimisation platform that continuously processes live player data to generate predictive insights into player value, churn risk and behavioural intent. Supported by Golden Whale‘s extensive Smart Functions library, these capabilities can be integrated directly into existing platform, CRM and data infrastructure, bringing sophisticated decision intelligence into everyday operations.

The technology also includes innovations such as BonusPilot™, which takes incentive management beyond conventional rules-based approaches by intelligently identifying the most appropriate rewards and offers for individual players. For a multi-market operator such as Coolbet, this creates significant potential to reduce manual processes, sharpen bonus spending and deliver more relevant player experiences at scale.

Founded in Tallinn in 2016, Coolbet now operates across eight countries and three continents, offering sportsbook, esports, casino and poker. The company recently added to its accolades by winning Operator of the Year (Medium) at the 2026 SBC Awards in Lisbon.

Eberhard Dürrschmid, CEO of Golden Whale, said: “Operating successfully across multiple markets brings enormous opportunities, but also a level of complexity that conventional approaches to player engagement simply aren’t equipped to handle.

“Coolbet has already built a fantastic international business, and we’re excited to give its team the tools to take things even further. We believe fully bespoke and automated decision intelligence should be at the heart of how modern operators make shape their go-to-market strategies, and this relationship is a great example of how that ambition can translate into real commercial value.”

Tero Holopainen, Head of Product, Casino & Games at Coolbet, said: “Technology has always been central to how we operate, but what matters most is how we use it to deliver a better experience for our players.

“Golden Whale brings a level of sophistication that opens up some exciting possibilities for our business. Their decision intelligence approach extends the work we are already doing in a natural way, and we plan to build on that step by step. Being able to anticipate player needs, respond more effectively and make better use of our resources will be incredibly valuable as we continue to grow and strengthen our position across international markets.”
